Atkinson Sponsors and Participates in Safety Week 2015
GOLDEN, Colo. – Atkinson Construction is pleased be both a sponsor and participant in Safety Week 2015. In its second year, Safety Week is being supported by more than 40 national and global construction firms that take part in the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) and the Incident & Injury-Free (IIF) Executive Forum. Their goal is to inspire everyone in the industry to be leaders in safety.

"Safety Week is a chance for our company to increase safety awareness and to reinforce our commitment to working safely," stated Atkinson's Vice President, Director of Safety, David Watts. "Atkinson is proud to be a sponsor and participate in Safety Week for a second year. Throughout the week, Atkinson will engage in conversations and activities that demonstrate our commitment to a world-class safety culture."

The week's events include emergency response drills in coordination with local authorities, including police and fire departments. The drills help project teams and local authorities determine what types of equipment is required in the case of a real emergency. In addition, a number of project sites will offer first aid and CPR training.

For Atkinson, no project is successful unless it is built safely. Through careful planning, training, and teamwork, we work to ensure that everyone goes home safely, every day, and that our safety record is among the best in the industry.
