As a part of the Competitive Renewable Energy Zones projects throughout Texas, Atkinson Power was contracted through the Team Power Group to supplement production during the installation of 345kV conductor in a broader effort to integrate significant renewable energy generation into the grid. Atkinson's scope included the installation of 62.7 miles of bundled 1590 ACSS-TW Falcon double circuit 345 kV transmission line, one 7#7 Alumoweld shield wire, and one 48 Optical Ground Wire on a combination of both concrete and steel poles.

Atkinson Power utilized Summit Helicopters to string the lead line onto the towers for the entire 63-mile length, which allowed the project to meet the pressing project completion deadline.

This project, delivered on time and under budget, will benefit Texans for decades to come.
